Abstract

Presents guidance to designers and contractors on the specification and installation of profiled metal cladding systems and the supporting purlins and side rails. Built-up cladding systems and insulated panels are both considered; single-ply membranes supported by structural decks are not. Briefly describes the available systems and their components, and provides an overview of performance criteria, including weathertightness, appearance, thermal performance, acoustics, durability and structural capacity.
