Abstract
Considers the present groundwater levels in the Birmingham aquifer and predicts future levels under varying assumptions. Examines the possible effects on groundwater quality, and the implications for surface water quality and drainage. Assesses existing local groundwater control schemes and the need for future ad hoc or regional control of groundwater levels.
