Abstract

Provides guidance on the circumstances in which planning authorities must notify Scottish Ministers where they propose to grant planning permission. It incorporates, in the Annex, Town and Country Planning (Notification of Applications) (Scotland) Direction 2007, which consolidates and replaces the 1997 Notification Direction and all subsequent amendments.

Partially supersedes SEDD Circular 01/2007: Planning controls for marine fish farming (specifically annex G) (SEDD, 2007) and Scottish Planning Policy (SPP) 1: Planning system (specifically paragraph 65 is replaced by paragraphs 24 - 27 of this circular) (SEDD, 2002).
