Abstract
Explains the implementation of the certification scheme, and describes the principles and processes behind it. Only concerns persons directly appointed under Section 7 (1) of the Act. An Approved Certifier under Section 7 (1) may be a firm, public body or other organisation that directly employs one or more assessors with suitable qualifications and experience to certify compliance with the Building Regulations.

This is a temporary version of the Certification Handbook. The final version will be published when the programme of development and testing of the certificates and the certification register is complete.
