Abstract
Details test methods for products made from cold worked, annealed or oil hardened and tempered steel wire. They can also be coated and of constant cross section, round or special section. Looks at tensile, torsion, reverse bend, wrapping, bend, reverse torsion, compression, deep etch, hardness, quench hardenability and fatigue tests. Also looks at wire cast measurement, artificial ageing, decarburization tests, non-destructive tests, grain size test, segregation test, non-metallic inclusion test and chemical analysis.
