Abstract

Presents case studies showing how buildings were affected by construction works for the Jubilee Line Extension (JLE) and covering a range of building types and situations. The studies consider the effects of tunnelling on the surrounding ground, on structures within the surrounding ground, and on buildings above the affected ground. They include different geometries of single and twin tunnels and their relation to the nearby buildings.
