Abstract
Examines the differences and philosophical similarities between EN 1992-1-1 and BS 8110 and the changes in design principles. Others chapters look at materials, durability, structural analysis, ultimate and serviceability limit states and at process change/design impact.

This guidance has been based on the published Eurocode BS EN 1992-1-1:2004 and EN 1992-1-2:2004 together with the draft of the respective National Annexes, as available at the time of writing (January 2005).
