Abstract

The building regulations primarily exist to improve the health, safety and welfare of people in and around buildings and the focus of Part L is the safety aspects related to buildings containing combustion appliances. This RIA looks at the options, benefits and cost implications, business sectors affected, equity and fairness, enforcement and sanctions, monitoring and review and offers recommendations.
