Abstract
Introduces BRE’s Green Guide to Specification and its methodology. Presents Marine Crescent, Folkestone as a case study in the durable use of concrete that challenges the study period used in the guide. Summarises the environmental issues highlighted by the assessment scheme and the credits available. A case study of an office building is also provided, illustrating how concrete contributes to sustainability.

The Concrete Centre
