Abstract
Presents the results of case study work to assess how construction sector organisations quantified the benefits from their investments in information technology. Seven organisations’ internal assessment methods are considered individually. These organisations comprised building and civil engineering contractors, civil engineering consultants and one large joint venture construction project. Proposes ways to improve the way decisions regarding IT investments are taken.
