Abstract
Describes scope for improvement of buildings’ energy efficiency in terms of wall insulation, external insulation systems (including in the context of renovation and new build projects), render systems, and cladding systems. Also describes a banking complex in Bromberg, Poland as an example of a vaulted structure with clay-tile cladding - the innovative use of a traditional material. Considers the project as modern architecture in an historical environment.
