Abstract

Guidance and recommendations are given for structural use of timber in load-bearing members. Subjects covered include a method of test, design criteria, information on quality and grade stresses, workmanship and treatments which can be applied.

Document History

Superseded by BS EN 1995-1-1:2004. Supersedes BS 5268-2:1996. This standard incorporates some of the European Committee for Standardization (CEN) standards on materials to ease the specification and supply of materials during the period of coexistence of BS 5268 and Eurocode 5. Amendment No.1 dated December 2007.
