Abstract
Outlines the benefits of composite floors, which consist of a solid prestressed slab acting as fully participating formwork, acting with an in-situ topping to form an efficient cultural section. Diagrams illustrate typical details under particular arrangements. Presents data for solid planks with and without upstands, propped and unpropped, in relation to effective loads according to imposed loads.
