Abstract
Describes the Government’s expectations for the Fire and Rescue Service, what fire and rescue authorities are expected to do and what support the Government will provide. Covers work to prevent fires, manage risk and the deliver resilience programmes. Addresses the importance of mainstreaming diversity at all levels, as well as workforce development, training, and health and safety. Considers institutions in place to support delivery of objectives and the new local government white paper framework.
