Abstract
Explains why precautions are necessary and summarises best practice for identifying what reusable resources are available on site, soil planning and management, stripping subsoil and topsoil, stockpiling and spreading soil, sourcing and manufacturing topsoil, soil aftercare, and use of surplus soil. Includes flowcharts and operation checklists.
