Abstract
Explains why a draft Code of Practice for the sustainable use of soils on construction sites has been drawn up. Identifies policy objectives and intended effects, and what policy objectives have been considered. Provides a summary of the analysis and evidence. Discusses evidence base. Includes a checklist of specific impact tests.
