Abstract

Presents a process in five sequential steps for the practical calculation of whole-life costs for the construction and operation of buildings: defining the problem, considering alternative solutions, calculations, fine-tuning cost models, and interpreting the results. Provides examples to show how the different stages of the process relate to one another, to show how the results are obtained and what they mean.
