Abstract
Looks at an all-timber residential building which is being created by Waugh Thistleton in Hackney, East London. Once complete it will be the tallest all-timber residential building in Europe. The 29-apartment housing block is made up of nineteen private sale units, nine affordable tenancies and one shared ownership and saves 306,150kg of carbon in the construction process in comparison to a steel and concrete building.
