Abstract

Presents draft guidance which intends to help local authorities to improve the service they provide in tackling poor air quality by targeting resources to work towards air quality objectives. Includes practice guidance for Welsh local authorities on: economic principles for the assessment of local measures to improve air quality; low emission zones; measures to encourage the uptake of low emission vehicles; and measures to encourage the uptake of retro-fitted abatement equipment on vehicles.
