Abstract
With a long service life, guaranteed strength and performance, precast concrete box culverts have been used in a wide variety of civil engineering and other construction projects, including: balancing tanks, pedestrian subways, diverting water courses, access shafts, service tunnels, sea outfalls and road crossings. This guide advises on delivery, jointing materials, trench preparations, bedding, application of jointing material, laying the culverts, joints and backfilling.
