Abstract
Concerned principally with the application of the existing body of knowledge concerning joint moment-rotation behaviour to the analysis and design of steel frames. Appraises suitable joint data and discusses appropriate methods for the determination of the deformation and hence the internal force pattern in flexibly-connected frames. Proposes the design of both braced and unbraced structures. Focuses on the importance of stability effects.
