Abstract
Summarises the responses to the June 2008 DCLG consultation on proposed new editions of Approved Documents L, which closed 9 September 2008. The consultation sought views regarding changes to legislation affecting commissioning, self-certification and notifiable work, references within the Approved Documents L to BR443, guidance for multi-foil insulation and a judgement in the High Court on the multi-foil insulation case and to correct a number of errors in the 2006 editions of the Approved Documents. The consultation also proposed changes to style to improve understanding.
