Abstract
Seeks views on building standards compliance issues following the recommendations of the Sullivan Report (Low carbon building standards strategy for Scotland, SBSA 2007). This report stressed the importance of compliance with the building regulations and the need for robust mechanisms to ensure improved building standards are met in completed buildings.

Scottish Building Standards
The Scottish Building Standards Agency (SBSA) was disbanded on 1 April 2008 and its functions to administer the Building Standards system in Scotland were transferred back to the Scottish Government. The Building Standards Division includes Planning and Architectural Policy.
