Abstract
Seeks views on proposals to amend the Building (Scotland) regulations 2004 and associated Technical Handbooks. The changes will affect Section 6: Energy and Section 3: Environment and will help the governments aim to deliver a 30% reduction in carbon dioxide emissions from new buildings and new building work by 2010.

The Scottish Building Standards Agency (SBSA) was disbanded on 1 April 2008 and its functions to administer the Building Standards system in Scotland were transferred back to the Scottish Government. The Building Standards Division includes Planning and Architectural Policy.
