Abstract

Acts as a general introduction to aspects of both the JCT Constructing Excellence Contract and the Project Team Agreement. Provides help on the completion of these two documents. Constructing excellence contracts are intended to encourage collaborative behaviour, get participants to recognise the importance of and require the use of risk management at the pre-tender stage to assist in delivering successful projects, provide flexibility in use, and be used throughout the supply chain.

Document History

Updates and replaces the 2007 edition. The principal revision is the incorporation of sustainability provisions, following JCT’s consultation, and provisions building on OGC’s Achieving Excellence criteria. Aspects of the payment provisions have been modified while awaiting the outcome of the proposed payment legislation.
