Abstract
Presents a revised draft code of practice and seeks views relating to costs of implementing the changes and the practicality of applying the code. The revisions cover working methods (construction thicknesses, matching surfaces, shape of reinstatement, internal angle, proximity clearance, vertical joints, strength requirements, amended section on compaction, reporting clarifications and dealing with ingress of water on the highway, guidance for manhole covers and frames), increased sustainability (EN standards and materials) and presentational changes (to clarify ambiguities, ease navigation and adopt changes in accordance with other DfT guidance).
