Abstract
Contains guidance and recommendations to enable local authorities to deliver good practice and best value in lighting management and maintenance policies. It can be applied to both road lighting and other exterior lighting. Covering service provision, maintenance cycles, reactive maintenance, service agreements with distribution network operator and procurement. Updated in 2009 to reflect changes to statutory duties and developments and advances in good practice.
