Abstract
Based on information from the 15,622 households interviewed for the Survey of English housing beginning April 2007, providing key housing data on tenure, owner occupation and the social rented sector, and is the principal source of information about the private rented sector.

Supersedes Housing in England 2006/07 - a report based on the 2006/07 Survey of English Housing, carried out by the National Centre for Social Research (DCLG, 2008). Comprises the last report published under the Survey of English Housing. The survey was merged with the English House Condition Survey into the English Housing Survey in 2008.
