Abstract
Sent to heads of planning in Scotland, providing information on two recent court rulings which have implications for EIA in Scotland. One ruling concerns the application of the EIA Directive to changes or extensions to existing development, and the other ruling comprises a preliminary ruling from the European Court of Justice, and concerns the need to make available on request reasons for negative screening decisions.
