Abstract
Gives notification for new provisions on air flow rate testing on dwellings, the commissioning and provision of information for mechanical ventilation systems, introduces a new provision on target and design calculated CO2 emission rate before building work starts, new provision for carbon monoxide alarms in dwellings, amends provision relating to supply of softened wholesome water and amended provisions for the competent person self-certification schemes. Also introduces the revised Approved Document G (Sanitation, hot water safety and water efficiency). Also introduces amendments to Part J, energy efficiency provisions, Schedule 2a, 2b of the Building Regulations, and the Building (approved inspectors etc.) regulations 2000.
