Abstract
Following a study of 22 occupied homes built to Parts F and L 2006, recommendations for improvement indicate that a correctly installed and inspected ventilation system should meet designed ventilation capacity, that trickle ventilators in dwellings could be increased, but further larger studies should be conducted focusing on indoor air quality levels achieved in airtight dwellings in which ventilation systems is installed correctly. Finally the realisation that product controls may be the best way of reducing the source strength of the noted high levels of total volatile organic compounds (TVOCs) in this study.
