Abstract
Describes the views of DEFRA and the Welsh Assembly Government on how the Waste Incineration Directive should be applied and how particular terms should be interpreted. The main aim of the directive is to prevent and limit negative environmental effects by emissions from the incineration and co-incineration of waste.
