Abstract
Assesses the decision to produce a suite of National Policy Statements for energy to form part of the new planning system set out in the Planning Act 2008.
Document History
Consultation closed on 24 January 2011. Supersedes Impact assessment of energy national policy statements (DECC, 2009), part of the previous consultation ending 22 February 2010. To be read with Revised draft overarching national policy statement for energy (EN-1); Revised draft national policy statement for fossil fuel electricity generating infrastructure (EN-2); Revised draft national policy statement for renewable energy infrastructure (EN-3); Revised draft national policy statement for gas supply infrastructure and gas and oil pipelines (EN-4); Revised draft national policy statement for electricity networks infrastructure (EN-5); Revised draft national policy statement for nuclear power generation (EN-6) - volume I of II; and Revised draft national policy statement for nuclear power generation (EN-6) - volume II of II: annexes (all DECC, 2010).
