Abstract

Provides an introduction to the Eurocodes, explaining their purpose and development, national annexes and non-contradictory complementary information (NCCI) and setting the context in relation with other standards and building regulations. Then goes on to summarise the basis of structural design (BS EN 1990), the actions on structures (BS EN 1991), the design of steel structures (BS EN 1993), and the design of composite structures (BS EN 1994).
