Abstract
Outlines the programme of changes to the Building Regulations including deregulation and streamlining technical and procedural aspects. Under consideration will be evaluation of Part P (Electrical safety - dwellings) and looking at ways of reducing compliance costs, to rationalise Parts M, K and N (Access to and use of buildings, Protection from falling, collision and impact and Glazing) to remove overlaps and conflicts and finally to look at building control system itself. Further elements of the programme will cover revisions to Part L (Conservation of fuel and power).
