Abstract
Details the procedure for impact sound insulation measurements of floor assemblies, using the standard tapping machine, but also includes an alternative test method using a heavy/soft impact source. Provides definitions, general mounting and boundary conditions, data processing and details of the test report. The test results are useful for comparison of sound insulation properties of building elements, capabilities and properties.
