Abstract
Produced to provide an initial analysis of the Welsh Index of Multiple Deprivation (WIMD) 2008 and its eight domains. The WIMD is the Welsh Assembly Government's official tool for identifying small area concentrations of multiple deprivation across Wales and is relevant to policies aimed at tackling the causes and effects of multiple deprivation.
