Abstract
Aims to ensure a consistent approach in identifying 'at risk' bridge supports and to give guidance on actions required. Applicable only to structures owned by the Agency.
Document History
Wales only IANs are issued by the Welsh Government. They contain specific guidance, to be used only in connection with works on the motorway and trunk road network in Wales. IANs must be read in conjunction with the Design Manual for Roads and Bridges (DMRB) and Manual of Contract Documents for Highway Works (MCHW). Partially supersedes section 4 of BD 48/93. Applicable to Wales only.
