Abstract
Comprises a letter to local planning authorities drawing their attention to the laying of regulations in Parliament to amend the Town and country planning (general permitted development) (amendment) order 2011 and the Town and country planning (control of advertisements) (England) (amendment) regulations 2011. These measures will provide: new permitted development rights for householders to install micro wind turbines and air source heat pumps on their premises; new permitted development rights to allow for the installation of electrical outlets for recharging electric vehicles in off-street public and private car parks, and amendments to clarify that local authorities can install on street charging points for electric vehicle as permitted development; and deemed advertisement consent for installers of charging points and energy suppliers to display their nameplates on the charging points.
