Abstract
Seeks views on changes to PPG 1, which explains what Pollution Prevention Guidance notes are. Discusses pollution incidents, reducing environmental risk and improving business environmental performance. Includes information on: basic environmental laws and good practices that should be followed; drainage systems and the importance of getting site drainage right; handling and storing oils, chemical, wastes and other polluting materials legally and safely; using resources efficiently to reduce waste and save money; the importance of training; dealing with incidents and emergencies; and specific requirements for some business sectors and activities. Also includes consultation questions.
