Abstract
Seeks views on changes to PPG 8, which are intended to help industrial, commercial and institutional sites that handle used oils - from people who service a few vehicles and change the engine oil to large industrial users, to reduce the risk of oil pollution of surface waters, groundwater, sewers and drains. Includes information on: how to handle used oils safely; safe storage of used oils; processing used oils, including bio diesel production; used oil recycling and reuse; used oil disposal; and dealing with an oil spill. Also covers good practice and legal requirements for handling, storage, re-use, recycling and disposal of used oils. Includes consultation questions.
