Abstract

Provides advice on the planning process for dealing with proposals for nationally significant infrastructure projects (NSIPs). Intended to assist local authorities with the form and content of local impact reports (LIR) giving details of the likely impact of the proposed development on the authority's area as part of the Planning Act 2008 process. Covers: the importance of the LIR, the timetable and the content of the LIR.
