Abstract
Provides advice on the planning process for dealing with proposals for nationally significant infrastructure projects (NSIPs). Aimed primarily at developers and local authorities but is also relevant to any consultee who may be interested to know how the developer's pre-application consultation is reported. Seeks to provide advice about the format and content of the consultation report.
Document History
Supersedes version 1 (IPC, 2011). Under the Localism Act 2011, the IPC is abolished with its work being transferred to the National Infrastructure Directorate, created within the Planning Inspectorate. Consequently, all IPC advice notes have been republished by the Planning Inspectorate.
