Abstract
Covers key themes including the need for a robust regime of safety inspection and a planned investment programme based on whole life costs which are fundamental to highway maintenance. Covers asset and risk management and gives advice on the implications of the Traffic Management Act 2004. Update to reflect changes in legislation, national and local policies, asset management, Manual for Streets 2, CDM regulations and winter service.
