Abstract

Designed to present a positive approach to the development of occupied barn owl sites and to provide planners and developers with background information on the barn owl and the problems it faces. Includes steps to carry out an initial site survey (to assess whether or not barn owls are actually using a site) and to take appropriate steps to minimise the effect of the redevelopment on any birds which may be resident.
