Abstract
Introduces a draft energy efficiency standard for social housing (EESSH), which aims to further improve energy efficiency, reduce energy consumption, fuel poverty and greenhouse gas emissions. Also looks at financial implications, measuring and monitoring and timescales.

Builds upon a commitment outlined in the "Homes fit for the 21st century" (Scottish Government, 2011) and forms part of the wider Scottish Government sustainable housing strategy. Includes: Case studies of applying the Energy efficiency standard draft for the purpose of consultation. Consultation closed on 28 September 2012.
