Abstract
Aims to highlight best practice and improve the quality, content and consistency of local area plans, with community involvement through consultation processes.
Document History
Superseded by the Local area plans. Guidelines for planning authorities (Department of the Environment, Community and Local Government, 2013). Read with DCLG Manual for local area plans. The Guidelines are being issued as a consultation draft in the first instance. Following a review of submissions received during the public consultation, they will be finalised and issued as Ministerial Guidelines under section 28 of the Planning and Development Act 2000 (as amended). Consultation closed on 27th July 2012.
