Abstract
Looked at implications of the proposed Basic safety standard directive (BSSD) on building regulations, concerning the protection of the health of the public, patients and workers from ionising radiation. Concluded that the UK already complies with most of the requirements but highlights where further guidance or action may be required, including changes to UK Building Regulations.
