Abstract
Traditional insulation materials are robust and have relatively high thermal conductivity values but may require very thick building envelopes to perform adequately. This paper reviews some of the advanced thermal insulation products currently available to the UK market, with a focus on technologies such as aerogels, vacuum insulated panels, gas-filled panels and phase change materials.
