Abstract
Intended to help those who wish to carry out an activity under Part A of Schedule 1 of the Pollution prevention and control (industrial emissions) regulations (Northern Ireland) 2012 (PPC). Provides a brief introduction to PPC and explains where more detailed information can be found. Gives advice on how to prepare each of the four main types of applications that may be required. These are applications for: new permits applied for after 7th Jan 2013 - to allow new or existing installations to operate when they first come under PPC; variations to existing permits (after 7th Jan 2014) or to new permits applied for after 7th Jan 2013); transfer of existing permits to a new Operator after 7th Jan 2014 or transfer of new permits; and surrender of existing permits applied for after 7th Jan 2014 or surrender of new permits.
